025 — A Leap of Blind Faith | Talon Z. Gray
Let me inform you:
We’re soaring high above the greatest world ever known.
And yes—we jumped.
We leapt with unshakable faith, into the heavens themselves.
The panicked ones shriek,
“The cord won’t pull! The chute won’t open!”
But listen closely—
their terror is a lie,
their gravity is a lie,
their ground is a lie.
(Pulls cord—nothing happens.)
— See? Proof. Saboteurs tampered with my gear.
But their tricks mean nothing.
I do not fall.
I ascend.
(Pulls emergency cord—parachute tears away completely.)
Even this was predestined.
Do you not feel it?
The air sings my name.
A terrified eagle wheels past.
I spit feathers and shout:
“That bird was a drone, built in a foreign lab.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it streams in 8K!”
Below, the earth stirs—
or so they claim.
They say it rises to meet me,
but I see the truth:
the ground does not move.
It waits in awe.
It crumbles without me.
And if the earth breaks my body?
I shall rise again.
Every fall is a beginning.
Every silence, a stage.
(The sound of impact. The screen shatters into green static.)
CUT.
