023 — Mt. Placeholder | Talon Z. Gray

Mt. Placeholder was never meant to be a home.
It’s a gamble.
An investment.
A stage where you either rewrite the Law of the Land—or get erased.

Life here isn’t about stability.
It’s about knowing when to drop the leash and run.
Bones don’t collect themselves.
Nothing “naturalizes” on its own in this system.

Location, location, location.
The Summit Square. The Valley Circle. The West Stream.
So many places to stake your claim, carve out your belonging.

I didn’t arrive by accident.
We run the slope-side lodges—the ones you think are abandoned.
The map shows them as ruins.
The satellites blur this entire 4,200-acre radius.
That’s by design.

Radio towers dressed as pine trees.
Woodland creatures with 4K vision.
Central Casting pulled a Houdini,
making dogs disappear while holding their bodies.
Someone has to save these souls.

The mountain devours its own on purpose.
If it ever served a purpose, it too would be abandoned.

Around here, when you see a candle, eat the flame.
For five minutes you’ll be invisible.
Your Stalk and Stealth skills? +50%.
Welcome to the Wilderness meta.

The price of Openness doesn’t fall.
It climbs endlessly, driven by global demand.
To navigate, you’ll need bones. Lots of them.

Unearth enough, and the Bones-T multiplier kicks in.
With clarity, the mountain reveals new abilities—
But remember:
outsiders transform into dogs upon entry.
You’ve been warned.

When the norm becomes pawscapades, paw controls, and pawspondences—
it’s time to break the doggie bag.

Think:
Do you want out?
Do you even remember how to speak?

If the cat’s got your tongue, clear your throat with a howl.
Stun enemies. Alert allies.
Maybe even awaken your Slumber Spirit.

Wait! Timing is everything.
Sit to let the mountain move through you.
Commune with the Ancient Paw Prints.
Grow your Wisdom Tree.

Then: Go.
Freedom is motion.
Zoomie through grassy fields. Bound into the Diamond Den.

Adaptability and resilience are your only assets.
Dogs of the Wilderness thrive here—
But not all ascend.

Somewhere above, one dog climbs higher still,
chasing a voice no one else hears.

Our lodges are open (for a small fee).

You’ll find:
—A communal fire.
—A warm bed.
—A harvest bowl.
—Shared crafting nests.

Choose your movement:
SKIS or SNOWBOARD.

Gravity is optional—no dog stays grounded forever.
Up! Yeah, you.
Fly if you can. Crawl if you must.

Choices matter here.
Fail to naturalize, and your paw prints dissolve into the mountain.

There are no winners—
only players left behind.

Will you be the one?
